Nuclear power plants running on Microsoft software? That's one place where i really don't want to see a BSOD.
Well, yes and no. SBO and BSOD is very similar in this case I suppose...
Jokes aside, I agree with you, though I fail to see the safety implication of a BSOD, availability of the plant will suffer but not safety. Nuclear plants tend to fail safe, control system goes down and 2-3 seconds later you will have all rods in the core and a subcritical reactor not to mention half an hour to restart your systems to asure cooling of the core.
In my mind, not a safety problem per see...
