Nuclear Power Yes Please poking at COP15

This is where things heat up. Discuss and debate nuclear power, energy issues and similar subjects.

No power excursions or meltdowns please. Be polite, and strive to maintain a dialogue.
Forum rules
  • Be respectful. Harsh language, taunting, ridicule, insulting and similar is not tolerated. Attacks on a person's character rather than his/her arguments is grounds for warnings and eventually a ban.
  • Be specific. It's better to discuss a specific, narrow topic than everything at once.
  • Stay on topic. If the discussion starts to broaden, make a new topic.
  • Don't preach. Maintain a dialog rather than trying to do a sermon to covert heathens.

At time of writing, world leaders are gathering in Copenhagen to discussion measures to bring down the levels of harmful pollutions into teh atmosphere. This is the United Nations Climate Change conference or COP 15 for short.

YouTube/Google have made it possible for people to post questions to be asked to the world leaders.

Nuclear Power Yes Please is joining this and posting a question of our own.

With a bit of luck, and a sufficient number of votes, this question might get asked to the world leaders in Copenhagen.

If you have any comments reagrding the question, feel free to post it here.

Micheal, you have a good and correct point being raised here. If truly the world leaders are meeting copehengian as against the enviromental issues, yes they are doing the right thing. Because, the environment is poising danger.

Nuclear power is a clean form of energy, since it does not result in an emission of toxic gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide or sulfur dioxide, which is why it is also called as green energy. Nowadays, where air pollution is one of our main concerns, an option like this is certainly preferable over the combustion of fossil fuels which causes much more pollution.
